From landman at jhu.edu Tue Dec 16 14:05:49 2008 From: landman at jhu.edu (Bennett Landman) Date: Tue, 16 Dec 2008 14:05:49 -0500 Subject: [xml-qstat-d] xml-qstat and Ubuntu 8.10 Message-ID: <000a01c95fb1$501c6ca0$f05545e0$@edu> Good afternoon, I am working on setting up a demonstration sun grid engine on Ubuntu machines, and I would really like to be able use the xml-qstat interface to monitor progress. I followed the instructions on the xml-qstat wiki (with cocoon 2.1.11) and was able to start the process. I am using sun-java-6. From the command prompt, qhost and qstat function properly and cocoon starts with no problems. However, when I visit http://localhost:8888/xmlqstat/qstat.html, I am redirected to http://localhost:8888/xmlqstat/jobs.html, which is a blank page. Has anyone seen this problem before? I am open to suggestions as to how I might go about debugging this. Thanks, Bennett -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... I am not using a FlexLM server. I can get the xml (e.g., qhost.xml) pages to show up, but the .html files do not. Does anyone have a sitemap.xml that is valid for users without the flexlm? I'd recommend looking at the sitemap.xmap file -- it looks like there is an interception for "qstat.html" that redirects to "jobs.html" and that may not be the proper behavior for your local setup. It seems to work with Opera. The system appears to be a bit lagged in terms of updating? I submitted many of the SGE "simple.sh" test scripts, and it was difficult to see what was running on the nodes. If you would like, you can add my tested platform: Ubuntu 8.10 Linux on x86 with Java 1.6, Cocoon 2.1.11 and SGE 6.1u5. We have the same problem here with Firefox 3.0... seems to be a known problem. Try another browser maybe?
